Our Story
TiE, short for The Indus Entrepreneurs, was founded in Silicon Valley in 1992 by a group of successful entrepreneurs, business executives, and professionals with roots in the Indus region (Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh). The founders wanted to create a platform that would support and mentor entrepreneurs within their community. Since then, TiE has expanded to become a global organization with chapters in various countries.
TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) was established in 2005 as a program of TiE Boston, with the aim of fostering the next generation of entrepreneurs. The program was designed to teach high school students the skills they need to start and run a business, including ideation, team building, and pitching. Over the years, the TYE program has expanded to other chapters of TiE around the world, including the United States, India, Canada, and other countries. Today, TYE is a global program that has impacted thousands of students, providing them with mentorship, coaching, and access to a network of entrepreneurs and investors.
TiE is the perfect platform for entrepreneurs, parents and students who are interested in entrepreneurship and innovation. Our mission is to foster entrepreneurship globally through mentoring, networking, education and funding opportunities.

The Entrepreneur Academy & TiE Young Entrepreneurs
TiE South Coast’s Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) program began with just over a dozen students. TiE South Coast is one of 66 chapters worldwide dedicated to fostering entrepreneurial skills in youth through mentoring, networking, and education. The Entrepreneur Academy (TEA) was launched in 2020 to administer TiE South Coast’s TYE program, serving over 150 students virtually during the pandemic. Moving forward all programming will be under the TEA umbrella.
