Below you’ll find answers to the most frequently asked questions about our program, pricing, meetings, student rewards, and more.

How long is the TEA Program?

The TEA program this year will be conducted from January (January 14th) to mid May. The classes will be held every Saturday culminating in the final competition. The winning team may continue on to the Global competition in June.

Is food provided at TEA class sessions?

We  have been able to offer breakfast and lunch during most sessions.

Will the classes be held in person or online?

How do I donate to TEA?

The class of 2023 will be held in person pending any CDC guideline changes. Parents do not need to stay with their child for the sessions, but are more than welcome to.

Tax deductible donation may be made by clicking the 'donate" button on our website menu.

What time are the classes?

How can I help?

The Saturday sessions run from 9am to 12pm. participants may need to work with team members or mentors outside of these hours to prepare.

There are various ways to help our organization. Depending on your interest and qualifications, you can volunteer to help with administration of the program, mentor a team, help find sponsors, participate in your employer's corporate match program (see handout), help with recruiting students, and more. Please contact us if you would like to help.

TEA is for High School students. The class of 2023 will also be opening a limited amount of spaces for 25 Middle School students.

We have an impressive line-up of mentors from industries who are all successful entrepreneurs and business leaders.

What is the cost of tuition?

Do the students compete? What is the Global Competition?

The participant contribution is $1,750 per student this year. An early bird registration discount of $250 is available once registration opens up.

Students will compete against other TEA teams and local chapters. The Global Competition includes chapters from India, China, Dubai, & much more. This year, TEA will be hosting the competition at the USD Center of Business Education. Students compete for cash and non cash prizes such as business funding.
